Description
The one thing at an event that people queue for willingly
A guestbook sits on a table and collects four signatures. A camera crew makes people self-conscious. A telephone box does neither. It is familiar enough that nobody needs it explained, and closed enough that people say things they would never say to a lens in an open room.
Guests step in on their own or in pairs, press one button, and speak or sing for a couple of minutes. Audio as standard, video if you want it. They walk out, the next person walks in, and by the end of the night you have something nobody planned and nobody performed.
What it suits
Weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Festivals and touring activations. Exhibition stands and product launches. Conferences, awards nights and staff parties. Anywhere a brand wants recorded reactions rather than a signup sheet, and anywhere a family wants voices rather than photographs.
How the day works
The booth arrives in sections and goes up on site in around an hour, through standard doors and into lifts. Crew stay for the duration, manage the queue, reset between sessions and keep the interior clean. At the end it comes down and goes, and your recordings are delivered to you afterwards as one collection, ready to download, share or edit.
Guest mode means no accounts. Nobody is asked for an email address before they can speak. If you want contact capture for a brand activation, that runs as an opt-in on the screen instead.
Branding
External panels, a custom screen design, a branded opening message and an on-screen question of your choosing. For activations, add an opt-in data capture or a short survey after the recording. For weddings, the prompt is usually a single line, and a single line is normally all it takes.
What the site needs
The booth stands 2.49m tall on a 915mm square base, so check the ceiling in marquees, mezzanines and lift lobbies. Many rooms run to 2.4m, which is not enough. Allow around 1.5m clear in front of the door, a firm level floor, and a standard 13A socket within reach.
Indoors or under solid cover. The booth is not weatherproof and is never left outside unattended or overnight.
About the sound
The booth screens background noise the way the original kiosk did, so speech comes through clear and close. It is not a soundproof room. At a loud event some of the band will find its way onto the recording, which most people rather like, but if pristine isolation is the point then the studio build is the specification to ask about.
Privacy
Recordings are erased by default. Guests are told on screen what happens to what they record, and they choose whether to keep it. You receive what they chose to keep. Nothing is published, sold or used in marketing without explicit consent.
For agencies and hire companies
If you already supply events, the booth can sit in your own catalogue and go out to your clients under your booking. Trade terms and crew options are available. Get in touch about carrying it.
