2) The Services
Crown Booth® provides: (a) smart recording booths; (b) web and mobile applications, including a creator dashboard; (c) storage, encoding, preview, and download functions; and (d) an optional “Push to DSPs” gateway that transmits audio, artwork, and metadata to third‑party digital distribution platforms (e.g., aggregators and DSPs). The Crown Booth network is global by design and intended for deployment in major metropolitan areas worldwide, subject to local laws, site permissions, and operational readiness.
Service features may change or be limited by location, availability, third‑party policies, and network conditions.
3) Eligibility & Accounts

- You are responsible for account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4) Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload/record/transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, hateful, infringing, or that invades privacy or publicity rights.
- Misrepresent identity or rights ownership; submit misleading metadata, credits, or royalty splits.
- Tamper with, damage, copy, reverse‑engineer, or interfere with booths, sensors, software, networks, or DRM.
- Access or attempt to access others’ content without permission; circumvent access controls.
- Introduce malware, bots, or automated scraping except as permitted by robots.txt or our written consent.
We may remove or disable content, suspend accounts, and/or deny access for violations, including a reasonable repeat‑infringer policy.
5) Ownership & Licences
- Your recordings. You retain all right, title, and interest in audio, stems, artwork, and metadata you create or upload (collectively, “User Recordings”).
- Service licence to us. You grant Crown Booth a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, encode, transcode, secure, back up, and transmit User Recordings and metadata solely to provide the Services you select (e.g., previews, downloads, collaboration features, or delivery to DSPs). We do not claim ownership in your User Recordings.

- When charged. Fees are due at booking/checkout. Some Services (e.g., storage or DSP delivery plans) may be subscription‑based and auto‑renew each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
- Payment methods. We accept the methods shown at checkout and may use payment processors on our behalf. You authorise recurring charges for auto‑renewing plans until you cancel.
- Refunds/credits. Refunds and credits are governed by the Booking & Refund Policy, incorporated by reference.
- Chargebacks. Disputed payments may result in account suspension until resolved. We may share relevant records with the payment provider to contest improper chargebacks.
- Taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, and levies not collected at checkout.
7) Booth Use, Safety & House Rules
- Respect the space. Keep volumes reasonable; no smoking, vaping, flames, or hazardous materials. Do not cover sensors or microphones.
- Health & safety. If you have sensitivities to enclosed spaces, loud sounds, or flashing indicators, use caution. Emergency buttons and procedures are posted in‑booth.
- Privacy signage. Booths may include CCTV in public‑facing areas for safety and vandalism prevention (not in private areas). Local signage will indicate any monitoring per law.
- Damage. You are responsible for costs arising from intentional damage or gross negligence.
8) Distribution to DSPs (Optional Gateway)
If you opt into Push to DSPs:
- Accuracy. You are solely responsible for accurate metadata (contributors, splits, ISRC/UPC if applicable, explicit flags, territories, artwork rights).
- Rights & clearances. You represent you have all rights necessary (including samples and underlying compositions). You must honour third‑party terms and industry rules.
- No label/royalty service. Crown Booth is not your label, publisher, or collection society and does not collect or pay royalties on your behalf unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement.
- Delivery outcome. Acceptance, timing, and availability on DSPs are controlled by third parties; we do not guarantee placement, editorial support, or timelines. We may reject or revoke delivery where reasonably required by law, policy, or risk.
- Takedowns. We may process takedown or updates you request, or as required by a rights holder or DSP. You are responsible for any third‑party disputes.
9) Content Moderation & Notices
- We may remove or disable content alleged to infringe rights or violate these Terms.
- Rights holders may submit notices to support@crownbooth.co.uk. Provide sufficient detail to identify the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your authority. We may notify the affected user and, where appropriate, accept counter‑notices.
10) Data Protection & Privacy
- We process personal data under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice for details on what we collect, why, and for how long, and for your rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability, restriction, objection).
- Recordings & logs. We store User Recordings and operational logs to provide the Services and maintain security, then retain or delete per our retention schedules. You may request deletion subject to legal, security, and audit obligations.
11) Third‑Party Services & Links
The Services may link to third‑party sites or integrate with processors, aggregators, AI tools, or DSPs. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Your use of third‑party services is governed by their terms.
12) Service Availability & Changes
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend, limit, or modify features for maintenance, security, legal, or business reasons. Where practicable, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid users.
13) Warranties & Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and quiet enjoyment). You are responsible for backing up your content.
14) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses (including lost profits, goodwill, or data), even if foreseeable; and (b) our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amounts you paid to Crown Booth for the affected Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.
15) Consumer Rights & Cooling‑Off (UK)
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you may have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where applicable, you may have 14 days to cancel certain purchases. However, you consent to immediate performance of digital content or services you access right away (e.g., a booth session occurring within 14 days or instant storage/processing), and you acknowledge your right to cancel may be lost once performance begins. This section does not affect non‑waivable statutory rights.
16) Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations, rescheduling, lateness, no‑shows, and refunds are governed by the Booking & Refund Policy referenced in Section 6. For subscriptions, you may cancel renewal at any time from your account, effective at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
17) Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crown Booth and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your User Recordings or metadata; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of law or third‑party rights.
18) Force Majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, utility or internet failures, equipment failure, strikes, civil disturbances, war, epidemics, government actions, or third‑party service disruptions.
19) Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.
20) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms and any non‑contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers residing elsewhere may have mandatory local rights.
21) Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Please contact support@crownbooth.co.uk to raise concerns. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you may seek remedies in the courts referenced above. Nothing in this section limits either party’s right to injunctive relief.
22) Entire Agreement & Order of Precedence
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, and Booking & Refund Policy, form the entire agreement regarding the Services. If there is a conflict, specific service terms or an order confirmation (if any) will prevail over these general Terms.
22A) No Offer; No Contract Formation by Browsing
Information on the website, apps, or promotional materials is provided for general information and invitation to treat only. Browsing, creating an account, or using non‑checkout features does not, by itself, create any binding contract between you and Crown Booth. A binding contract for paid Services forms only when (i) you place an order/booking and we confirm acceptance (e.g., on‑screen confirmation and/or email), or (ii) you otherwise sign a written agreement with us. We may refuse, cancel, or refund orders per these Terms.
22B) No Professional, Employment, Agency, or Fiduciary Relationship
Your use of the Services does not create any employment, worker, agency, partnership, joint venture, or fiduciary relationship with Crown Booth. We do not provide legal, accounting, or professional advice through the Services; any guidance or templates are provided for convenience and are not legal advice. You should obtain independent professional advice where needed.
23) Contact & Entity Details

24) Media Capture: Webcam, Photos, Video & Live Streaming
- In‑booth webcam. Some booths include an optional webcam for photos/video capture and live streaming. Capture is off by default and must be intentionally enabled by you within the session UI.
- Consent. You must obtain consent from all participants visible/audible in the capture. For minors, verifiable parental/guardian consent is required. You are responsible for any appearance releases you need for commercial use.
- Lighting & indicators. When enabled, a visible indicator light will show that the webcam is active. Do not tamper with indicators or attempt to covertly record.
- Storage & retention. Photo/video assets are treated as User Recordings and follow the same retention rules (see Section 10 & 16). Thumbnails and low‑res proxies may be stored to power previews.
- Publishing & platforms. If you post or stream to third‑party services (e.g., YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram), your use is governed by their terms. Crown Booth is not responsible for platform strikes, removals, or monetization decisions.
- Performance & music rights. You are responsible for clearing any rights required for public performance, synchronization, and communication to the public during a stream or posted video. Crown Booth does not provide public‑performance licences.
25) Live Streaming & Social Publishing (Optional)
- Routing. Where offered, the Services can route your audio/video and metadata to supported platforms or third‑party tools. Delivery and availability are controlled by those parties; timelines and features are not guaranteed.
- Safety & moderation. Live content must comply with Section 4 (Acceptable Use). We may suspend routing that appears to violate law, platform policies, or presents immediate safety risk.
- Latency & stability. Live features depend on network conditions and third‑party APIs. We do not warrant uninterrupted streams or a particular bit‑rate/latency.
26) Connectivity & Wi‑Fi Hotspot
- What we provide. Select booths may offer internet connectivity and/or a local Wi‑Fi hotspot for session use. Availability, speed, and coverage vary by location.
- Fair use. Usage is subject to fair‑use limits and traffic management. High‑bandwidth or unlawful activities (e.g., piracy, DDoS, crypto‑mining) are prohibited. We may throttle or block traffic to preserve service quality.
- Security. Public networks carry risk. You are responsible for securing your devices (updates, antivirus, VPN). We may log network metadata (timestamps, device identifiers, volume) for abuse prevention and legal compliance. Content of communications is not inspected except as required by law or to ensure network integrity.
- Filtering & lawful intercept. Some sites/ports may be filtered to comply with law or venue policy. We may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
- No emergency service. Connectivity is not a substitute for emergency calling. In an emergency, use your mobile network and/or venue procedures.
- No guarantee of upload windows. We do not guarantee upload completion for large files within session times; plan buffers accordingly.
27) Cleaning‑for‑Credit Program (Volunteer Exchange)
- Overview. At our discretion, we may offer a volunteer cleaning program in exchange for studio credit (not cash). Details, locations, and quotas vary; participation is by separate sign‑up and approval.
- Eligibility. 18+ only; valid photo ID required. We may require background checks where lawful. Participants must complete training and follow health & safety guidance (including PPE where provided).
- Status. Participants are volunteers, not employees, workers, or contractors. Studio credit is a discretionary thank‑you benefit and not wages. The program may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
- Health & safety. Do not undertake tasks you are not trained for. Report hazards immediately. We may refuse participation if you appear unfit or if conditions are unsafe.
- Credits. Credit amounts, eligible uses (e.g., booth time, storage add‑ons), expiry (e.g., 6 months), and caps will be stated in the program notice. Credits have no cash value, are non‑transferable, and may be revoked for misconduct.
- Conduct & damage. Normal House Rules apply. Deliberate damage, theft, or unsafe conduct will result in removal and potential civil/criminal action.
- Insurance. We maintain public liability insurance as required by law; volunteers should maintain personal cover as appropriate. Crown Booth is not liable for losses outside legal requirements.
28) Additional House Rules (Webcam & Network)
- Do not cover or obscure cameras, mics, or sensors.
- No filming of bystanders without consent; keep doors closed to avoid capturing passers‑by.
- No nudity or sexual content; no hate or harassment; no illegal acts on stream.
- Keep cables tidy; do not connect unapproved power‑hungry devices.
29) Early Supporter Programme (£1 Support)
- Overview. We may offer an optional Early Supporter Programme under which individuals can contribute £1 (one pound sterling) (or more, where offered) to support the build‑out of Crown Booth. Participation is voluntary and separate from any bookings, subscriptions, or purchases.
- Not an investment or pre‑order. A support contribution does not purchase equity, debt, royalties, or revenue share, and is not a pre‑order of hardware/services. There is no expectation of profit. We are not offering securities or regulated crowdfunding through this programme.
- Perks (non‑monetary). Where available, supporters may receive soft‑benefits such as: (i) a digital badge in‑app; (ii) optional name listing on a “Supporter Wall”; (iii) priority access to waitlists, beta invites, or community calls. Perks are discretionary, may vary by region, have no cash value, and are non‑transferable.
- Refunds & cancellations. Contributions are generally non‑refundable. If you contributed in error, contact support@crownbooth.co.uk within 14 days and we will review at our discretion. This policy does not affect any separate consumer rights you may have for paid Services.
- Eligibility. 18+ only. One account per person; we may limit the number of contributions per account/device/IP to prevent abuse.
- Marketing consent. We will only display your name/handle as a supporter with your opt‑in. You can revoke display at any time from your account settings; this does not require refunding the contribution.
- Taxes & receipts. Crown Booth is not a charity; contributions do not qualify for Gift Aid or charitable tax relief. Where applicable, VAT will be treated in accordance with HMRC guidance for voluntary contributions and associated perks. We do not provide tax advice.
- Use of funds. Contributions may be used for booth build‑outs, maintenance, software, community events, or other general purposes that further the project.
- Misuse & fraud. We may void perks and close accounts for fraudulent activity, harassment, or breach of these Terms.

30) Crown Boom™ Hardware Pre‑Orders (Bluetooth Speaker)
- What a pre‑order is. A pre‑order reserves a place in our production queue for the Crown Boom portable Bluetooth speaker. It is not a guarantee of delivery by a specific date.
- Deposit & price. Unless stated otherwise, we charge the full pre‑order price at checkout in GBP (£). Prices are inclusive/exclusive of VAT as shown at checkout. Exchange‑rate differences and bank fees are your responsibility.
- Estimated shipping window. We publish an estimated shipping window based on current forecasts. Manufacturing, certification, component supply, logistics, and customs may affect timelines. We will provide periodic updates via email or your account.
- Your right to cancel. You may cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund to your original payment method. After dispatch, cancellations follow the Booking & Refund Policy and applicable consumer laws (including the UK 14‑day cooling‑off period for distance sales where not excluded by law).
- Our right to cancel. We may cancel a pre‑order and refund you for reasons including inability to manufacture, regulatory issues, suspected fraud/abuse, or unresolvable payment issues.
- Address & region changes. You are responsible for keeping your shipping address and region current. Changing regions may affect taxes, duties, shipping costs, plug types, and delivery timelines.
- Taxes, duties & shipping. You are responsible for any destination taxes, duties, and customs not collected at checkout. We will quote shipping charges during checkout or before dispatch.
- Design & spec changes. Crown Boom’s design, materials, colours, packaging, and technical specifications may evolve before final production. Any changes will maintain equal or better overall quality/function.

- Risk of loss & title. Title passes to you upon payment; risk of loss passes upon delivery to your address or collection point as shown in the carrier’s proof of delivery.
- Pre‑order limits & transfers. We may limit quantities per customer/household. Pre‑orders and any associated perks are non‑transferable without our consent.
- Perks & bundles. Any listed perks (e.g., early engraving window, accessory discounts) are discretionary, have no cash value, and may change or end before shipment.
- Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback while a pre‑order is active may result in automatic cancellation. We will share order logs with the payment provider to resolve disputes.
- Communications. By placing a pre‑order you consent to receive operational emails about production and delivery. You can opt out of marketing messages separately.
- Not crowdfunding or securities. A pre‑order is a retail reservation only; it does not grant equity, royalties, or any investment‑like interest.
