Description
A private room in a public building
Most public spaces give people nowhere to be alone. Crown Booth Indoor puts one room in your building where a person can shut the door, say something out loud, and take it with them.
Inside is a studio-grade microphone, a touchscreen, lighting and an optional camera. Outside is the most recognisable object in British design. People know what a telephone box is for before anyone explains it, which is why the booth gets used rather than admired.
What it does
Records audio and video sessions and delivers them to the person who made them. Runs on account-based sessions during building hours, or on host booking. Guest mode lets anyone step in with no sign-up, with everything landing in one collection afterwards, which is how it works at weddings, parties and events. Optional creative tools include backing tracks, karaoke, licensed beats and remote sessions with a live engineer.
Hosts can also earn from the booth through paid sessions, brand activations and digital out of home advertising, on terms agreed site by site.
Fitting it into your building
No planning permission is involved. It is furniture, not construction. You need your own building and fire sign-off, a standard 13A socket and a network connection.
The heritage shell stands 2.49m tall on a 915mm square base, so check your ceiling first. Many offices and hotel spaces run to 2.4m, which is not enough. Allow around 1.5m clear in front of the door.
Two people assemble it on site.
Your staff and security cover the space as they already do. Your cleaning contract covers the interior. Crown Booth services the equipment, monitors it remotely and handles software updates.
Privacy
Recordings are erased by default. Nothing is kept unless the person who made it chooses to keep it. The camera module carries a physical lens shutter and a tally light that shows when it is live. Nothing is published, sold or used in marketing without explicit consent.
