These Listener Terms (the “Terms”) govern your use of Crown Booth’s preview streaming experiences — short, time‑limited, or watermarked listens of tracks or clips shared by artists (the “Previews”). By opening a Crown Booth preview link, playing a Preview, or interacting with the preview page (including reactions or shares), you agree to these Terms in addition to our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

1) What you’re allowed to do (licence)
1.1 Personal, limited licence. We grant you a revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to stream the Preview for your personal, non‑commercial use through our player or approved embeds.
1.2 No downloads. Unless expressly enabled by the artist after purchase, Previews are stream‑only; you may not download, rip, record, copy, or otherwise fix the audio/visual content.
1.3 Share link. You may share the preview page link using our native share tools; do not rehost the media or player elsewhere.
2) Things you must not do
You agree not to:
- Bypass, remove, or interfere with watermarks, fingerprints, or access controls.
- Record the Preview (e.g., system audio capture), scrape signed URLs, or use bots to inflate plays.
- Re‑upload or distribute any part of the Preview to other platforms.
- Use the Preview commercially (public performance, broadcast, sync) or for training machine‑learning models.
- Mislead others about your association with the artist or Crown Booth.
- Violate the law, third‑party rights, or our AUP.
3) Accounts, age, and community features
3.1 No account required to listen; certain features (comments, save/follow, unlock) may require an account.
3.2 Age. You must be 13+ to interact; some features may require 18+. Where content is labelled explicit, listener discretion applies.
3.3 Conduct. Comments and reactions must follow the AUP (no harassment, hate, spam, or illegal content). We may moderate or remove content and restrict accounts.
4) Unlocking the full track (Post‑Pay)
4.1 Optional purchase. If you choose to buy/unlock, your access is governed by the Artist Upload Licence & Consent (Post‑Pay Personal Licence terms).
4.2 No securities. Unlocking a track does not give you ownership, royalty rights, or any investment interest.
5) Availability, regions, and limits
5.1 Regional access. Previews may be geo‑restricted based on artist settings, licensing, or law.
5.2 Rate limits. We may limit concurrent streams, play count, duration, or time window to protect artists and services.
5.3 Service changes. Previews may be changed or removed without notice (e.g., rights conflicts, takedowns, or policy breaches). Links may expire.
6) Data, privacy, and cookies
6.1 Event data. We log preview playback and interaction data (e.g., play, pause, completion, share/referrer) to operate analytics, anti‑fraud, and artist dashboards, in line with our Privacy Policy.
6.2 Cookies/consent. We use necessary cookies for security and playback; with consent we use analytics cookies (see Cookie Policy).
6.3 Safety. If you report content or another user, we may retain related data to investigate and enforce policy.
7) Intellectual property
7.1 Artist ownership. The artist (or their licensors) owns all rights in the Preview and underlying works.
7.2 Crown Booth IP. Our player, UI, and trademarks are owned by us.
7.3 Feedback. If you submit feedback or ideas, you grant Crown Booth a free, worldwide licence to use them to improve services, without obligation.
8) Safety and wellbeing
8.1 Listening levels. Keep volume at a safe level; prolonged exposure to high sound pressure may cause hearing damage.
8.2 Content warnings. Artists may mark content as explicit or sensitive; discretion advised.
8.3 Illegal or harmful content. Report suspected violations via the preview page or support@crownbooth.co.uk; urgent risks → 999 (UK) or local emergency number.
9) Complaints, takedowns, and disputes
9.1 Copyright/privacy. Use our Copyright & Takedown Policy to report alleged infringement or privacy violations.
9.2 User disputes. We may remove content or restrict access while reviewing complaints.
9.3 Escalation. If you disagree with a decision, reply to the decision email with subject “Appeal – Preview Streams” within 7 days; we aim to respond within 10 business days.
10) Disclaimers & liability
10.1 As‑is. Previews are provided “as is” without warranties; audio may include watermarks or quality adjustments.
10.2 Limit of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Crown Booth is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses; our aggregate liability to you for Preview use shall not exceed £50. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11) Termination & suspension
We may suspend or terminate preview access for policy breaches, fraud, or legal risk. You may stop using Previews at any time.
12) Governing law & venue
If you are in the UK or EEA, these Terms (and non‑contractual obligations) are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have non‑exclusive jurisdiction. Elsewhere, the governing law/venue in our general Terms applies.
13) Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new Last updated date; material changes may be notified in‑app.
