This Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy (“Cookie Policy”) explains how Crown Booth Ltd (“Crown Booth”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies on crownbooth.co.uk and our apps (together, the “Services”). It should be read alongside our [Privacy Policy].

Contact: support@crownbooth.co.uk
Controller (UK): Crown Booth Ltd, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NE. Company number: 16719138.

1) What are cookies and similar technologies?

  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They can be “first‑party” (set by us) or “third‑party” (set by others), and can be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (stored until they expire or are deleted).
  • SDKs & mobile identifiers (e.g., IDFA/AAID) function like cookies in apps.
  • Pixels/Beacons are tiny images or code snippets that load when you view content and signal that an action occurred.
  • Local storage (e.g., HTML5) stores data in your browser for functionality and preferences.

2) How we use these technologies (categories)

We group cookies/SDKs into the following categories. Only Essential cookies are set by default.

  1. Essential (Strictly Necessary) — required to operate the site/app, secure the Service, enable bookings, authentication, and consent management. Legal basis: [contract], [legitimate interests].
  2. Functional/Preference — remember choices (language, audio settings, booth location preferences) and improve your experience. Legal basis: [consent] (where required) or [legitimate interests].
  3. Analytics/Performance — measure usage, diagnose issues, and improve features (e.g., crash logs, latency telemetry). Legal basis: [consent].
  4. Advertising/Measurement — deliver or measure ads, build audiences, and prevent fraud. Legal basis: [consent]. We do not set these without your opt‑in.
  5. Marketplace/DSP tools — enable project collaboration, content fingerprinting or rights/payout reporting when you opt into those features. Legal basis: [consent] / [contract].

You can change your choices at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer or within the app settings.

3) Your choices — consent & control

  • Banner & preferences: On your first visit, we present a banner with options Accept all, Reject non‑essential, and Manage settings. You can granularly toggle categories.
  • Granular consent: We log your consent state (country, timestamp, categories) and will re‑prompt after 6–12 months, on material changes, or when we detect significant device/browser changes.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt‑out of cross‑context behavioural advertising and limit non‑essential trackers accordingly (where legally required).
  • Do Not Track (DNT): We currently do not respond to DNT signals due to lack of standardisation; use our Cookie Settings instead.
  • Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent at any time in Cookie Settings; this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies within your browser/app settings. Blocking Essential cookies may impact core functionality (e.g., login, bookings).

4) Cookies & SDKs we use

The exact providers may change over time. We will keep this list reasonably up to date. Some tools are used only in specific regions or for opted‑in features (e.g., DSP distribution).

A fuller vendor/subprocessor list is maintained at crownbooth.co.uk/subprocessors (or will be published prior to launch). Some partners act as our processors under contract; others act as independent controllers (e.g., ad platforms). Where a partner acts as an independent controller, their privacy policy applies.

5) Mobile apps

In apps, we may use SDKs that collect device identifiers (IDFA/AAID), app version, OS, crash logs, and coarse location. We request platform permissions only when needed. You can reset advertising IDs and limit tracking in your device settings.

6) International transfers

We and some vendors operate globally. Where data are transferred outside the UK/EEA, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK IDTA/UK Addendum, and conduct transfer impact assessments.

7) Retention

Cookies persist for the periods noted above unless you clear them earlier. We keep consent logs for evidence and compliance for at least 24 months (or longer if required by law).

8) Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, ask you to reconfirm preferences.
