2) General conduct rules
You must not use the Services to:
-
Break the law — including IP, privacy, data protection, consumer, recording and surveillance, export control/sanctions, and financial/AML laws.
-
Infringe rights — upload, record, distribute, or monetize material you do not have rights to use (music, samples, stems, voice/likeness, artwork, trademarks).
-
Endanger or exploit — content that is unlawful, exploitative, or depicts or promotes violence, terrorism, self‑harm, child sexual exploitation or child abuse; or sexual content involving minors, or non‑consensual sexual content of any kind.
-
Harass or hate — threats, harassment, bullying, doxxing, or content that incites violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
-
Defraud or deceive — phishing, scams, impersonation, deceptive endorsements, undisclosed paid promotions, fraudulent disputes/chargebacks.
-
Compromise security — introduce malware; probe/scan ports; attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls; interfere with sensors, locks, cameras, networking, or telemetry.
-
Spam or game metrics — unsolicited mass messaging, artificial stream/listen manipulation, fake downloads, bot farms, or attempts to mislead charts/royalty reporting.
-
Invade privacy — make recordings of individuals without required notices and consent; capture bystanders; publish private information (e.g., addresses, IDs) without permission.
-
Misuse AI tools — create or distribute synthetic media that materially deceives audiences about a person’s identity, voice, or role without clear disclosure and, where required, written consent; violate image/voice rights or portrait laws; remove or alter rights‑management information.
-
Abuse the platform — scraping or bulk collection outside permitted APIs; reselling access; using the booth as office space, storage, or for non‑recording activities; interfering with other users or staff.
3) Recording spaces: safety and etiquette
-
Consent and signage: Respect signage that recording is in progress. The booking user must obtain consent from all participants. Do not record bystanders.
-
Occupancy and conduct: Follow posted occupancy limits and time slots; no tailgating. Keep noise reasonable outside the booth. No smoking, flames, or vaping. Food/drink must stay away from equipment.
-
Care of equipment: Do not tamper with or remove hardware, cabling, or sensors. Report faults immediately. You are responsible for damage caused by misuse or negligence.
-
Cleanliness: Leave the booth as you found it. Cleaning or damage fees may apply where needed.
4) Marketplace and DSP rules
-
Accuracy: Metadata (artist, writers, performers, credits, ISRC/ISWC/UPC, territories) must be accurate.
-
Rights: You must hold or have cleared all necessary rights (masters, publishing, samples, artwork, voice/likeness) for the territories you select. Keep proof of rights and provide it on request.
-
Prohibitions: No fraudulent claims, stream manipulation, or attempts to bypass content ID. No payola or undisclosed paid placements.
-
Payout integrity: Provide true and complete payout information. Do not attempt to conceal beneficial owners or launder funds. We may request verification (KYC/AML) and suspend payouts pending review.
-
Third‑party platforms: If you distribute to platforms (e.g., DSPs), you must follow their rules. They may remove content or penalise accounts; we may pass through such enforcement.
5) Intellectual property & takedowns
-
Your rights: You retain rights in your User Content, subject to licences you grant under our Terms to operate the Services.
-
Report infringement: Send notices to support@crownbooth.co.uk with: (i) identification of the work; (ii) the infringing material and its location; (iii) your contact details; (iv) a good‑faith statement; and (v) a statement of authority. We may also accept valid notices via platform partners.
-
Counter notice: If you believe material was removed in error, reply with a counter notice detailing why you own or are authorised to use the content.
-
Repeat infringers: Accounts with repeated substantiated infringements may be suspended or terminated. We may disable re‑uploads and share hash data with trusted partners to prevent repeat abuse.
6) Privacy, minors, and sensitive content
-
Minors: The Services are not directed to children under 13. Recording sessions involving minors must be supervised by a parent/guardian and comply with local law. Absolutely no sexual content involving minors.
-
Sensitive content: Do not publish medical, financial, or other sensitive personal data without explicit permission. Avoid capturing biometric or highly sensitive data unless strictly necessary and consented.
7) Security and network integrity
-
Do not interfere with or disable security features, access controls, session timers, locks, or monitoring designed to keep locations and data safe.
-
Do not access or attempt to access another user’s accounts, projects, files, or payouts.
-
Do not test, scan, or reverse engineer the Services without prior written permission (responsible disclosure is welcomed at security@crownbooth.co.uk).
8) Enforcement & consequences
We review reports and signals (including automated systems) and may take proportionate action, including:
-
Removal or restriction of content or features;
-
Pausing sessions or access to locations;
-
Account warnings or temporary suspensions;
-
Permanent termination in severe or repeated cases;
-
Withholding payouts pending investigation;
-
Coordinating with platform partners or law enforcement where required by law.
We aim to notify you of actions taken and provide a way to appeal unless doing so risks harm or legal conflict.
9) Reporting

10) Changes to this AUP
